The winners of the 2010 GlaxoSmithKline Childhood Immunisation Awards were announced at the Public Health Association of Australia’s 12th National Immunisation Conference in Adelaide.

Four Australian organisations each received $15,000 Awards to support the development of practical and innovative programs designed to improve coverage and/or timely delivery of childhood immunisation in their community.

The winning entries were as follows.

• For a significant increase in or maintenance of immunisation coverage in children 12 months to 4 years of age (small team entry):
  Health Alliance, Magill, South Australia
  

• For a significant increase in or maintenance of immunisation coverage in children 12 months to 4 years of age (large team entry):
  Mid North Division of Rural Medicine, Clare, South Australia
  

• For a significant increase in or maintenance of immunisation coverage in hard to reach children and/or adolescent populations:
  Central Sydney GP Network, NSW
  

• For improved coverage and/or timely delivery of childhood or adolescent vaccines as per the Australian NIP schedule:
  General Practice Network NT
