Healthy Volunteers 

S1P1 Agonist

Study Name: P1A114070 - A Single-blind, placebo-controlled, two part study to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmakokinetics and pharmacodynamics of single ascending doses of GSK2018682 (S1P1 agonist) in healthy volunteers.

Criteria: Age 18-55, non-smoker, not taking any regular medications. If female then must be surgically sterile or post-menopausal.

 

CCX114472 (Japanese Volunteers) 「治験」ってご存知ですか。

Study Name: CCX114472 - A  placebo controlled, Four-Period Crossover, Single Ascending Oral Dose Escalation Study to assess the safety, Tolerability and Pharmakokinetics of the CCR9 Receptor Antagonist GSK1605786 (CCX282) in Japanese Health Male Subjects.

 

Criteria: 本人、父母二人、祖父母四人の全員が日本生まれ 4 grandparents, both parents & yourself have been born in Japan, 20〜55歳 , 20 - 55 years of age,  健康 Healthy

 たばこをやめて6ヶ月以上 Ceased smoking at least 6 months ago,

日本語で会話、読み書きができる Communicate, write/read in Japanese,

 オーストラリア在住十年以内 Residing outside of Japan for 10 years or less.

 

 任意参加ですから、途中で嫌になればいつでもやめることができます。GSKの規則や条件を守り、最後までご協力下さった方には謝礼金を差し上げます。.

Allergen Challenge

Study Name: HZA113126 - A randomised, double blind, placebo-controlled, four-way crossover, repeat dose study comparing the effect of inhaled fluticasone furoate/GW642444M combination, GW642444M and fluticasone furoate on the allergen-induced asthmatic response in subjects with mild asthma.

Criteria: MILD asthmatic, INTERMITTENT use of ventolin or bricanyl permitted. Regular use of inhaled steroids (seretide) not permitted. 18-64 yrs of age. Female subjects permitted only if surgically sterile or post menopausal.

Multiple Sclerosis

Study Name: NGM112988 - A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, single ascending dose study exploring the preliminary safety, tolerability & pharmakokinetics of GSK1223249 administered by intravenous infusion to patients with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis. not on disease modifying therapy.

   

Anti-cancer

Study Name: PKB112835  - A Phase I, Open-Label, Two-Stage study  to investigate the safety, tolerability, Pharmakokinetcs and Pharmacodynamics of the oral AKT Inhibitor GSK2110183 in subjects with any hematologic malignancy. 

Criteria: Diagnosed hematologic malignancy (incl. CLL, CML, MM, NHL or Hodgkin's lymphoma), at least 18 yrs of age.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)


Study Name: HZC102871 (ANCHOR) and HZC102970 (CLIPPER) - A 52-week efficacy and safety study to compare the effect of three dosage strengths of Fluticasone Furoate/GW642444 Inhalation Powder with GW642444 on the Annual Rate of Exacerbations in Subjects with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).


Notes of Interest:

  • Over 3000 patients worldwide will be invited to take part in these studies.

  • The study drug requires once a day usage, hence it may improve regular use of medicine.

  • Volunteers will be required to see their study doctor roughly once a month (sometimes every 2 months) for up to a year. The visits involve simple breathing checks and some tests. Volunteers will be treated at no cost to them.

YOU may be eligible if:

  • You have COPD
  • Are aged 40 years and over
  • Are current or ex-smoker

These studies are being run at 15 different hospitals within Australia.
